Single Women with Children, Inc. was formed in 1989 by Patricia Hinton Mial in response to her status as a newly single parent through divorce. Patricia realized that the services and support she needed were either not offered or known during those critical first years.
Our organization focuses on the following issues: health, education, socialization, self-esteem and spirituality. This is done through programs and workshops for both parents and their children. We also refer families to other agencies/organizations as fits their needs.
This Raleigh, NC-based nonprofit is currently doing food/clothing drives throughout the community, hoping to building relationships and empower others to help each other.
